I’m Latino by marriage to an Argentine girl. I have been to BA and other parts of Argentina multiple times. I have enjoyed hundreds of empanadas from all kinds of restaurants, hole in the wall mercados and food trucks. Making (wife and mother-in-law) and enjoying empanadas are a regular part of my life! This place was a great find. Very delicious and authentic empanadas. I had never had a brisket one, it was great. Very tasty Chimichurri sauce to dip them in. The alfajores are a must try for dessert! ¡Muy rico!

The store was very clean and quiet. We got there 13:20ish. We ordered to go the Spice Beef, Kale & Mushroom and Brisket and got the chimeycurry and spicy ranch. Good tasty Empanadas. We will be back

My wife and I tried Gringo Gordo for the first time today. The empanadas were delicious! Reminded us of the ones we got on Uruguay years ago! The cajeta was amazing! We'll definitely be back. We tried 5 different flavors between my wife and I, ask were very good but the Smoked Chicken was the stand out... super flavorful. Oh and try their chimichurri... it's one of the best I've had!

Gringo Gordo is incredible! Such good empanadas, I got a one cinnamon apple and one smoked chicken empanada for breakfast at 10am when they opened and I’ll be back to try every single empanada they make. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a flavorful, inexpensive and filling meal ! I got a great quality meal for $8 I don’t know where else that’s even possible.

If you are looking for a quality quick bite... just go there... super delicious and very authentic Argentine empanadas. Place was fairly quiet at the time of my visit I was able to get a bunch of different flavors and the ones that were not in the display were baked in minutes as you wanted them.

Empanadas are excellent, no lie some of the best around the area. Its a nice clean, quiet, new location with a small inside to eat in that’s easy to get in and out of fast. Have several different options from beef, chicken, veggie and breakfast empanadas and all Ive tried have been delicious. Try the Spicy beef, Argentina, Mushroom and Kale but you can’t go wrong either way. Low key spot that should be checked out by more people.
